Grateful for three healings
One day as I was doing some chores outside, I tripped and fell on the concrete sidewalk, landing with force on one side. Right away my movement was restricted. I couldn’t raise one arm without pain, and getting into and out of bed was excruciating.
It was natural for me to turn to God, because I’d had so many healings before—including freedom from illness and injury. So I prayed and asked a Christian Science practitioner for help. And while I wasn’t immediately healed, I was grateful that I could still go to work and take care of things at home, albeit a bit more slowly than usual.
After several weeks, I said to the practitioner, “I feel like I’ve bruised my ribs.” She replied, “Oh, ribs just represent protection!” Because we’d been talking about God, I knew that she was talking about God’s divine protection and the fact that it could never be taken away from me or compromised in any way. I was instantly and completely healed. That one insight opened up the way to full healing.
