Burning sensation in hands healed

I came to know about Christian Science through a coworker, and I attended church services with her. I was impressed by her reliance on God in every situation, and soon I, too, found that God governs us always, including in moments of need.

During lockdown related to the pandemic, I attended online church services and testimony meetings. I was very happy to still be able to see all the smiling faces and to feel so connected. All my needs were met during that challenging period through reliance on truths I had learned in my study of Christian Science and through my friend’s prayers for me whenever I asked for help. I was also inspired to attend all the weekly sessions of an online summit conducted by The First Church of Christ, Scientist (located in Boston, Massachusetts), from July through September 2020. These meetings helped me to overcome my shyness and interact comfortably with others.

After the lockdown was lifted in my area in September, I went to a relative’s home with my family. My aunt started preparing snacks for us. I went to the kitchen to help her, and she gave me vegetables to chop. After some time, my hands started to swell and turn red, and I felt a strong burning sensation in them. Initially, I didn’t tell anyone, and just washed my hands with soap. But the pain became more intense, and the inflammation was noticeable, so everyone started worrying and suggested I take some medicine. But I declined their offers of medicine and assured them I would be fine.
