Blessed with the role of expressing God
For those of us who are accustomed to turning to God for help, there may occasionally be one particular issue that we’re giving attention to through prayer. Most often, though, there’s probably more than one, or even a laundry list of issues! Specifically addressing each one is certainly vital to its healing and resolution.
But we don’t need to be intimidated by a list of items if we keep our thought on the larger view of what God is and how His nature is expressed in His creation. In harmony with the Bible, Christian Science teaches that God is the one Supreme Being, all-powerful and infinite. And it defines God by means of Bible-based synonyms—Mind, Spirit, Soul, Principle, Life, Truth, and Love—that reveal something quite awe-inspiring about His nature.
God is always being God, always at full strength, without limit. So He is well able to care for everything pertaining to us, whether it’s one item or many. A brilliant result of God’s creative power is your true identity, spiritual and ideal. Simply put, it is God being God that gives you existence, and He is expressing the wholeness of His nature as Truth and Love in you every moment. Yes, there are challenges in life, sometimes very difficult ones. Yet there’s no need to feel overwhelmed about your ability to deal with them.
