A 'new song' in my new home
Several years ago, my husband took a new job that necessitated a move from a house that we dearly loved in the mountains of New Hampshire. It was so painful for me to think of leaving this home, that one day I ended up with tears streaming down my cheeks. The thought came to me that I should turn to my Bible, so I just opened it to the page that says: “O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things” (Psalms 98:1). This angel message was just what I needed. I was immediately healed of my sense of grief, knowing that I had a “new song” to sing in my new home. I have used that same Bible verse in recent years with several more moves to new homes. It brings great comfort and assurance that I am always where I belong and where I can do the most good.
