Pain in abdomen healed
My family was introduced to Christian Science in the early 1940s after witnessing the healing of our neighbor’s dog. One day, the dog had sores on its body and was missing big patches of fur. And just a few days later, to my mother’s amazement, the dog’s coat was full and healthy. Of course, our neighbor, a Christian Scientist, was happy to explain how Christian Science heals. My mother became a student of Christian Science and she was healed of, among other ills, a sinus condition and chronic constipation.
And so my brother and I had the inestimable privilege of growing up in Christian Science. We had healings of diagnosed Bright’s disease and pneumonia, the effects of accidents and injuries, an attack of hornets with multiple stings to the face, upset stomachs, and more. We also did not experience various “childhood diseases,” although we were in school during times of contagion.
Last year, I had a great healing that I would like to share. Late one night, shortly before going to bed, I began to have some discomfort low in my abdomen. I went to bed, expecting it to be short-lived, but before long the pain had become intense. When I could not keep from crying out in pain, and couldn’t think clearly to pray for myself, I woke my husband and told him what was going on.
