Inspiration shared with others

The special issue of the Sentinel (October 30) that included testimonies of healings that have occurred over the past 125 years as a result of reading Science and Health has inspired me to write. Christian Science came into my life back in the 1950s when my father-in-law was given a copy of a Sentinel, and he in turn gave it to his daughter, my wife.

I believe this special issue is the best of all past issues and can be used to promote public awareness of Science and Health and the good that can come to humanity.

Toward a balanced life

"Then search for a balanced life" by Lois Degler is excellent (November 6). Like the man in the article, I missed my vacations, friends, church activity. But after reading this wonderful article, I started to rebuild my life. I realized how hypnotic work clamor can be and decided to change my life, putting God first and listening to His ideas.

Reader finds peace

As always, your articles are so timely to meet the challenges of the day. The November 13 issue especially brought peace to my thought. The cover story, "Peacekeeping—engaging the world," was so appropriate as our country struggled with the election of its president. Hate, animosity, bitterness—feelings so foreign to my heart—had caused much uneasiness and physical distress until I read the comforting messages contained in this article. I am now at peace.

Welcomes each issue

How so many of us resisted the new Sentinel format at first. And now how I have come to welcome each new issue into our home! Especially the articles for children. Let's all move forward with gratitude.
