The case of the missing ring
JENNI was excited about spending the night away from home. She packed her own suitcase, carefully folding her pajamas, playclothes, and warm sweater. She got her toothbrush and slippers. And she told her floppy bear stuffed animal that this was going to be a really fun weekend.
When everything was ready, Jenni stopped to slip on her special ring. It was shiny gold and had a small brown stone on top. Jenni loved this ring. It was not worth a lot of money, but it had belonged to her grandmother. When Jenni looked at it, it reminded her how much she loved her grandma and the happy times they'd had together. She smiled as she picked up her little suitcase, hugged her floppy bear, and headed out the door.
