A recent article in The Christian Science Monitor cited legal experts who stated that the debate over assisted suicide has brought before the Supreme Court of the United States "the most difficult moral dilemma" since its ruling on abortion in 1972. Of course assisted suicide is not just an American issue. While some nations have arrived at legal decisions, others are still debating the issue.
The spiritual perspectives on this subject offered in "Because God is Life" and "Never side with death" rest on the knowledge that there is a law of God, of divine Life, that can heal even the most hopeless cases. It is a law that anyone can turn to in times of need, and it has results.
Also this week: "No more winter blues" tells how a woman overcame depression. And the Bible series continues, this installment highlighting Jesus' healing works.
