FOR CHILDREN
Letters to a Sunday School pupil: the Ten Commandments
Part one
One of our young readers receives a letter from his Christian Science Sunday School teacher each week. Our friend likes getting the letters because they remind him that God is with him all through the week—and every moment. He even shared some of them with his cousin.
With the Sunday School teacher's permission, we are happy to present a collection of the letters written to our young friend when he was first learning about the Ten Commandments. Part one of this two-part series includes the first five Commandments. The salutation has been left open, so you can fill in your own name and remember that the Commandments are God's laws, and that following them is natural and good because we are His dear children. You'll find part two, on the last five Commandments, in next week's Sentinel.
