Dear Sentinel,

I am the only American student attending the elementary school in my neighborhood in Yokohama, Japan. I'm in the fourth grade and I like my school, but I had a problem with my teacher. She seemed to be mean to me and would ignore me as though I were not even in the class. She seemed to have favorite students. Sometimes this made me sad, and sometimes it made me mad.

I prayed every day to see that she was God's child, and I tried to see the good about her and not the bad. If something bad happened, I prayed "No way! She's not mean. She's God's child." I had been praying for about a month, when my teacher started to be nicer to me. One day she came up to me and said if I had any problems I could ask her and she would help me. I was so surprised and happy because this was the first time I prayed and healed something by myself. I think that Christian Science is a great way to heal.
