The first words of God recorded in Genesis are (1:3): "And God said, Let there be light." As a student of Christian Science, this most wonderful revelation came to me some years ago with renewed significance. Prior to this, in my daily study I had the feeling something wonderful would come to me, although I did not know how or when. Even my neighbors noticed it and said, You are the happiest woman we know."

On the day that it did happen I had a strong premonition something would be told me that day. I finished my housework, served my husband's lunch, and did the other things that needed my attention.

I was familiar with the verse in Habakkuk (2:1), I will stand upon my watch ... and will watch to see what he will say unto me" I joyfully waited. Suddenly I was conscious of spiritual light, which seemed to fill the whole room. When I realized what was happening, I said aloud, "Oh, how grateful I am! I am in God's presence. He Is here, and there is nothing else." Material evidence faded away. All I was conscious of was the light. All I could feel was a great happiness, and I knew that nothing exists but God and His ideas. Divine Mind had spoken to me, and I had heard!
