For some time I have thought that I should write and testify to the benefits received from the study of Christian Science. Living eighteen miles from the nearest church, a distance which I must make by stage, it is not often convenient for me to attend the Wednesday evening meeting, and very often I feel a deep yearning to express my gratitude to God for the great and wonderful revelation given to the world through Mrs. Eddy, namely, Christian Science. It has been my privilege to know of this truth for the past fifteen years, and I can say that the first knowledge I gained of this Science has been permanent, although I have met many obstacles which seemingly have temporarily blocked the way. To me the truth taught by the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," is no less valuable as a protection from disease than it is as a cure. This result I feel sure is due, in my case, to a daily perusal of the Bible, with Science and Health and other Christian Science literature.

In more than one instance I have felt the power of God "who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases." About a year ago it was demonstrated to me again that this truth, as taught by Christian Science and confirmed by the Scriptures, does heal bodily and mentally. I went with my husband on a trip in the mountains, almost twenty miles from home. Not being used to these trips, I was not dressed as warmly as I should have been, and as we went on horseback it did not seem convenient to dress otherwise. The woman where we stayed called my attention to this, and voiced it more than once.

We were away a couple of days, and came home late in the evening. I did not get my usual study while away, or that evening after coming home, and the next day and for days following my body seemed to be racked with pain. I telephoned to my mother, who is also an earnest student of Christian Science, and gradually help came to me. The pain faded away to the nothingness whence it sprang. No woman was in my house during the time, and I did all that was necessary to be done, with the help of my husband, who is very much in sympathy with the Christian Science way of treating disease. For this healing, and many other blessings which have come to me through the study of Christian Science, I am truly grateful.
