The song of Christian Science
The spiritual sense gained from reading Science and Health heals joyously.
The Bible says of God,
“Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage” (Psalms 119:54) and that He “is my strength
and song, and is become my salvation” (Psalms 118:14).
The lift I feel from reading Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy is similar to the lift I get from a great piece of music—only better! And I know others who feel the same way.
Science and Health presents much more than an exercise in metaphysical logic. The spiritual sense gained from reading it heals joyously. The entire book is an explanation of how this healing is done. But understanding the divine Science it teaches has sometimes been difficult for me. One way of grasping these teachings came from hearing the book’s “song.”
