King of the lions
Have you ever wondered why the lions didn’t eat Daniel?
A quick read through the sixth chapter of the Bible’s book of Daniel might lead you to believe that the obvious answer is “innocency.” Daniel did tell the king, “My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me.”
However, further investigation might indicate that, although innocency was a part of why Daniel remained safe, perhaps moral courage was really what safeguarded him throughout his long night with the lions.
