Headache healed
I woke up recently with a painful headache. At first I was tempted to attribute this to a lack of sleep, because I’d had several sleepless hours the previous evening. That temptation gave way to more Christianly scientific thought, when I turned prayerfully to God.
Prayer assured me that a headache was not in the divine plan for me, whether I was short on sleep or not. While I was comforted by the knowledge that God’s plan was wholly good, and not painful, the headache continued the next morning, and I had another sleepless night.
Mortal sense suggested to me that I was a chemical body that conveyed messages of intelligence through nerves to and from the brain, including reports of headache. The antidote for this was the fact that I was not a chemical organism, but in reality the spiritual reflection of divine Mind. I could reflect only the right action of Mind. Such action was only harmonious, because God was totally good.
