What can I bring to you in this moment?
You have my compassion, unconditional love,
I hold you close in my prayers.
As reporters roll out their stories,
I know this news can never break
the love God has for you.
I am not alone—others pray around the world—
joined in unsolicited agreement to do their best
to witness to your unfailing strength.
I do not disregard your pain, your loss, your grief—
but remember always the promise of the Master,
‘I will not leave you comfortless …’
Fear will not claim you, nor hate destroy you.
Terror will never make you weak. You are eternal.
The child of divine and unceasing Love.
