QUICK HEALING OF BURN

A favorite Bible reference that I have prayed with many times is from Proverbs: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways, acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" (3:5, 6).

I understand that I can trust God because the Bible tells us that the Word of God is truth (see I Thess. 2:13) and that God is Love (see I John 4:8.). Therefore, it is important to align our thoughts and actions with divine Love and to seek to understand and live the Word of Truth. The Apostle Paul talked about this when he said we must bring "into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" (II Cor. 10:5).

I treasure the opportunity to share my Christian Science perspective, and hear those of others, as I was recently able to do with friends from a religious initiative that unites various churches. Afterward, I realized how in the midst of a trial, or a problem that includes physical pain, it can sometimes be difficult to put Paul's words into action. But I remembered an experience not long ago that showed the power of Love to overcome pain and bring immediate healing.
