HE SENT HIS WORD

Kathryn Ainsworth Grover

"Why are ye fearful,
O ye of little faith?"
These are the words
which the Saviour spoke,
and the winds of the sea
ceased and broke.

The calm he evoked
stilled the currents of mortal mind,
silenced the claim of mesmeric squall,
asserted the law of divine All-in-all, and the winds and the sea
and the ship and mankind
were at peace
in the Word of this law.
