RADIO PROGRAM No. 438 - God's Loving Help in Time of Grief

SPEAKER: We all have testing times in our lives when trouble seems to loom very large. II our inner resources are certain and strong, we can meet troubles, such as loss and grief, bravely and effectively. The inner strength that comes from an understanding of God is the most reliable of all, and it enables us to face any situation with confidence in God good.

Our guests today are going to tell us why they know this to be true. I'd like to introduce Mr. and Mrs. James Wymore, of Clarksburg, California. Why don't you start. Mrs. Wymore?

MRS. WYMORE: One summer my husband and I were spending our vacation at a mountain cabin in the High Sierras. Our son, Willard and a friend—both were boys of twenty—were coming up to spend the weekend with us. They were riding our son's motorcycle—both were expert drivers: they belonged to a motorcycle club. On the way up they were struck by a car in which the people had been drinking. Our son was instantly killed, and the other boy lived for only twenty-four hours. Our married daughter telephoned the news to us when she was notified. Although this was a great blow, we were sure that the feeling of separation and loss could be healed for all of us.
