God Is Everywhere

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Penny and Jerry, with their mother and father and Jimmy, a little friend, started out one day for the woods where they hoped to find a Christmas tree for the children's schoolroom. They were a happy group as the car sped down the smooth highway and then turned off onto a winding dirt road. Finally Father stopped the car by the edge of a thick woods, and they began their search for the tree and for greens to use in decoration.

As the sun was setting, they got back into the car reach to return home with the tree. But when Father reached into his pocket for the ignition key, it was not there. So they had to look for it. They looked everywhere in the car, then outside on the ground. They looked up and down the road and in the woods where they had cut the tree. But no key was to be found.

It was getting cold in the woods, even though they were living in a warm climate, and no one had a sweater because the group had left home in the warm sunshine. Suddenly they realized that they were several miles from the highway and that theirs was the last car on a dead-end road. It was very unlikely that another would come into the woods before the next day. Mother and Father were especially anxious because they had promised to have Jimmy home in time for dinner.
