"With signs following

"Let us cease looking first for 'the sign material' and seek the kingdom . . . which is within us"

When he came teaching the immediacy of God's power and presence, Jesus said emphatically that signs would follow the revelation of this spiritual fact. He declared of the healing works, "These signs shall follow them that believe" (Mark 16:17). The disciples' work, we are told, was confirmed "with signs following." But Jesus was not blind to the limiting concepts which mortal mind demanded, for he said, "Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe" (John 4:48).
