GOD'S PROVISION ALL THE WAY

The preparations which were progressing rapidly and joyously for a vacation trip by two high school girls interested the writer very much. She noticed the keen interest the father of one of the girls took in the various details of the packing, in arranging for provisions, in giving advice on certain difficult stretches of road, and in answering questions pertaining to the car. Subsequently she heard the father giving advice concerning the return trip. His loving concern for his daughter extended through the whole journey.

Some months later the writer experienced for a couple of weeks a very painful condition in the head. She and a member of the family who was a Christian Science practitioner worked diligently in accordance with the rules for metaphysical healing clearly stated in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Relief came when a draining took place through one ear. However, she was not able to focus her eyes normally. Reading could be undertaken for short periods, only by covering one eye.

After experiencing this trouble for several weeks, she was gripped with a sense of discouragement and began to wonder if Truth could reach and heal this difficulty. Then she remembered her young friends' vacation experience, and the care which had been expended to make the entire trip harmonious. She was then led to contemplate a verse from Scripture which ensures the safety and harmony of all those who understand its truth. They were spoken by a Son beloved by his Father (John 16:28), "I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father."
