In our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,"...

In our textbook. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy writes (p. 60), "Soul has infinite resources with which to bless mankind, and happiness would be more readily attained and would be more secure in our keeping, if sought in Soul." This passage was quoted at a Christian Science lecture, and in speaking of it the lecturer stressed the word "infinite." For days afterward I kept thinking of this word and questioned myself as to how much "infinite" is. I realized that it could not be measured, and I saw clearly that God's love and care for man are infinite.

Living next door to me was a young woman whose husband was in the Air Corps and was stationed in Japan. It was near the time for her to have her baby, and one day she said to me: "You know, when my husband returns to this country I will not be able to travel with him, since he is a rank below a sergeant and is not allowed travel pay for his family. We are not going to have very much money to do things for the baby, either."

I said to her, "You will have everything you need, because God provides for His children." The day she had her baby her husband was promoted to the rank of sergeant. A week or two later my husband, two daughters, and a son-in-law all received raises in salary.
