The War Cry Chicago, Illinois

How well John Bunyan understood the joy and music of obedience! In the Interpreter's House, the pilgrim heard the angels' song of welcome. When he dropped his burden he gave three joyful leaps and burst into a song of joy. On waking in the Chamber of Peace, his happiness overflowed in music.

... There is always the music of marching feet and, most thrilling of all, the music of hearts in tune with the will of God.... The music of obedience is the most beautiful and potent in the Christian's repertoire. How much we miss by our hesitation, our unwillingness to surrender our wills to God.
