It is a joyous privilege to be able...

It is a joyous privilege to be able to testify to the healing efficacy of Christian Science. It was presented to me some years ago when, at the passing on of my husband, I was left with three small children. My need was very great: life seemed futile, existence drab and hopeless, and my burden more than I could bear. Although for years I had been a member of an orthodox church, its teachings had not furnished me the succor I so badly needed.

In the Bible we read (Ps. 46:5), "God shall help her, and that right early," and Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health (p. 444), "Step by step will those who trust Him find that 'God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.' " These profound statements were proved true in my experience, as they are in that of every seeker of Truth, for it is written in Deuteronomy (4:29), "Thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart."

Today my children are grown, and I am grateful that they too are aware of the beauty and healing power which Christian Science has unfolded in our experience. We have had many physical difficulties healed through the application of the truth as Mrs. Eddy taught it; among them were trench mouth, tonsillitis, toothache, earache, and appendicitis. Protection from the many so-called children's diseases was also experienced.
