YONKERS, NEW YORK (First Church).

First Church of Christ, Scientist, Yonkers, dedicated its edifice at 225 Valentine Lane on Easter Sunday, April 9, 1950, when two services were held, one at eleven o'clock in the morning and the other at four o'clock in the afternoon.

The history of this church, which is interwoven with the history of the Christian Science movement in Yonkers, was read at both services by the First Reader from a prepared report. He also quoted from Mary Baker Eddy's "Dedicatory Messages to Branch Churches" appearing in her book "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany."
