A SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON ILLUSTRATED

ONE Sunday morning Anice came to her class in the Christian Science Sunday School in eager anticipation. She was to enter a state-wide competition the following week and asked how to think clearly about the forthcoming event.

One member of the class immediately expressed gratitude for Christian Science because it always enabled her to do her best. She went on to explain that she had learned in Science that God is all-knowing and all-acting. Then, since the Bible teaches that man is the image and likeness of God, man must image forth the perfect knowledge and action of God, thus removing any sense of personal accomplishment or inability and limitation.

Another girl added that it is of course necessary to do the human things required of us, such as study, practice, and so on; for this is a form of obedience, and obedience always places us in a position to be blessed by God's law of perfection and harmony.
