THE JOY OF HEALING

What joy to know that Love is ever near
To quiet thought, and take our fears away,
And bring sweet peace to soothe throughout the day;
So trusting, man lives on with vision clear,
And praising God, delights to persevere
In serving Him, though skies be blight or gray,
And blest of Truth, in gratitude doth pray,
Increasing his devotion year by year.

So we press on as seekers of the right,
In rising far above the mortal dream,
By ever yearning for supernal light
Our fellow man to hearten and redeem.
Thus Truth restores the lame, the halt, the blind,
And pours the oil of gladness on mankind.
