"Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!" (Ps. 107:21.) One of the greatest blessings that Christian Science has revealed to me is the value and joy of gratitude. Our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" (p. 164) writes, "What is gratitude but a powerful camera obscura, a thing focusing light where love, memory, and all within the human heart is present to manifest light." How often have I found gratitude like a ray of light revealing to me the omnipresence of Truth!

I first took up the study of Christian Science some twelve years ago, after witnessing the remarkable and permanent healing of my mother through the consecrated work of a practitioner, after three physicians had expended their efforts without success or hope. Since that time, I have found the teachings of the Bible together with the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, capable of meeting my every need, and I have had no desire to revert to material methods of healing.

Among many healings I have had are . those of chronic sore throat and hemorrhoids. The loneliness I felt when separated from home was overcome. I am grateful for spiritual unfoldment at the time of the unexpected passing of a loved one, and for many proofs that nothing can be lost in Mind. Glancing back at the numerous blessings and proofs of His goodness I have had, I feel that Christian Science is indeed God's "unspeakable gift" (II Cor. 9:15).
