[Christian Science program over Station WEAF, New York City, conducted by Felix M. Krembs, December 13, 1942 Subject: "The Good Neighbor."]

A Christian Science program was conducted from Station WEAF, New York City, on Sunday, December 13, at 8.30 a.m., Eastern War Time, by Felix M. Krembs of New York City. This program was given under the auspices of the Committee on Publication for the State of New York and had the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors. The "Symphonic Four" quartet was assisted by a staff organist.

The program opened with Hymn No. 105 in the Christian Science Hymnal. Then Mr. Krembs read an address on "The Good Neighbor," substantially as follows:

To the casual inquirer, it may seem a far cry from these days of 1942, with the global conflict filling men's thoughts with fear, confusion, and uncertainty, to a day nineteen hundred years ago in ancient Palestine, when a certain lawyer stood up and questioned Jesus as to what he should do to inherit eternal life. The Master answered, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself." The lawyer's further inquiry as to who was his neighbor is a question as pertinent today as if the centuries had not become history.
