It is with a heart full of love for humanity and with gratitude to God and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, that I give this testimony, hoping that my experience may inspire someone to try the Christian Science way of life.

Soon after the close of my college days I began to believe that I ought to turn to God for healing rather than to materia medica. But my entrance into Christian Science was slow. Finally, because I appeared to be suffering both physically and mentally, a sister brought me some copies of the Christian Science Sentinel which had reached her through the work of the Literature Distribution Committee. Shortly after reading this literature I was led to attend a Wednesday evening meeting and received an almost instantaneous healing of a laceration of the uterus. A physician had previously told me that there was no remedy for this condition other than an operation.

In due time many ailments—a serious kidney trouble, a diseased liver, gallstones, and an inflamed bladder—were healed. I was transformed from a state of semi-invalidism to that of health. How could I be other than grateful?
