In early youth I had many physical difficulties and was always considered frail; in fact, the general thought was that I should never be very strong.

A few years after my marriage, illness, sorrow, and in harmony came into our home, and in my despair I turned absolutely to Christian Science for my help, as I had exhausted all medical aid and was in a pathetic condition both mentally and physically. I was suffering from a nervous breakdown, tuberculosis, and constipation of years' standing. With the patient and loving help of practitioners and friends these conditions were completely healed, and our home has been transformed into a happy and joyous one.

Words alone are inadequate to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science, and to our divinely inspired Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who so unselfishly worked to give the Christ Science to the world. I am very grateful for membership in The Mother Church and for active membership in a Christian Science Society. I am also grateful for the sacred privilege of class instruction, which means so much to us in going forward to help mankind.
