FLUSHING, LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK (First Church).—The following remarks by Allan P. Thompson were made when introducing Robert Stanley Ross, a Christian Science lecturer, to his audience:—

I am a living witness to this wonderful truth that heals and saves. In the latter part of December, 1913, I was healed of the liquor habit and also at the same time of taking medicine. Prior to this I had taken medicine, every day or two, from the time I was a child. A well-known specialist in New York city pronounced my condition chronic. Three years later I was healed of the tobacco habit of long standing. I had smoked from ten to twenty cigars a day. I have also been healed of ptomaine poisoning. Before becoming interested in Christian Science, when traveling I carried with me several different kinds of medicine. The only medicine I now take on any of my trips is the Bible, with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and other writings by Mary Baker Eddy.
