There is no one in the world that has greater cause for gratitude for Christian Science than I have. When the truth found me, I was a mental and physical wreck. Having been in poor health for a long time, suffering greatly from eye trouble and headaches, stomach and liver trouble that had been with me nearly all of my childhood days, and having had an operation for hemorrhoids to help the stomach trouble, I found myself in a much worse condition than I had ever been, the stomach disorder increasing all the time. This suffering left me in a very morbid mental state.

Having been told by a member of my family what Christian Science would do for me, I decided to try it. I shall never forget the first treatment I received and the peace I felt in my heart as I left the practitioner's office. There was relief from the bowel and stomach trouble; I laid aside glasses; and I was healed of headaches. The ailments did not all leave me in a moment, the stomach trouble being the last to yield completely to Truth. It seemed very persistent. But having learned more of the truth as I worked to overcome hate, fear, worry, impatience, and many other traits of character, I was finally entirely healed of this trouble.

I have been a student of Christian Science for thirteen or fourteen years and have had all my needs met, both physical and mental. I have had two children born in Christian Science, one of the births being painless. I am very grateful for the healing of the so-called children's diseases, as my children were healed of them in a very short time. One healing, for which I wish to express gratitude, was the instantaneous overcoming of severe earache, also swelling at the back of the ear. The practitioner was called, and the aching stopped. The child was asleep in a very few moments, and never had a return of the trouble.
