I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and for my family. After suffering for a number of years with what my physicians pronounced ulcers of the stomach, and other troubles which did not yield to medical treatment, and being told that only an operation would help me, I decided to give Christian Science a trial, after much urging on the part of friends who were interested in me. This was in the early autumn of 1914. I called a practitioner, who came to my home and gave me a treatment. My healing was instantaneous, and I have never had a return of those sharp experiences since that time.

I shall never cease to be grateful for all that I have received in every way. We have had many other healings, and all have been accomplished through the application of Christian Science. I was healed of an attack of influenza in twenty-four hours. Our little son was healed of the same difficulty in a severe form in a very short time; also colds, croup, headaches, blood poisoning, and minor ills. Since taking up the study of Christian Science I have never used any material remedies, and can truly say, as Mrs. Eddy tells us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 494), that "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." I am grateful for the physical healings, but am more grateful for the better understanding of God, and am most grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her sacrifice and self-denial, which made it possible for her to give to the world this truth.
