I gratefully avail myself of the opportunity to tell of the relief experienced in a very peculiar case. In December, 1915, I had a tooth extracted while under the influence of gas. Upon coming out of the stupor I was taken with severe coughing for which there seemed to be no explanation. Thinking that it was caused by the gas I gave the matter no attention at first; but it grew worse with every day, and at times was accompanied by loss of blood; in fact I grew so miserable that it became impossible for me to do my housework, and I was prepared for the worst.

In my distress I resorted to Christian Science, and with the help of a practitioner gradually succeeded in overcoming the sense of fear and in gaining a measure of understanding of Mrs. Eddy's teaching. My patience was put to a hard test, and more than once I was tempted to take medical advice, but finally my steadfastness was richly rewarded. After suffering fully six months, I was seized one night with violent coughing; but I prayed fervently to God, with the strong conviction that from Him alone help could come, and behold, of a sudden out came the tooth which the dentist had inadvertently dropped down my throat six months previous. My joy was indescribable, and I gave solemn thanks for this evident proof of God's goodness and omnipotence. Within a short time I was fully restored, and have enjoyed the best of health since.

There have often been striking proofs of the blessed working of Christian Science in my family, and I am most deeply grateful to God for them; also to Mrs. Eddy, through whom we have been shown this wondrous way of Truth.
