To be “a better transparency for Truth”

We can wash away the dirt of materiality with spiritual understanding gained through prayer and study of the Bible and Science and Health.
Turning to God lifts us out of loneliness as it lifts our thinking out of darkness and despair to behold the ever-shining light of divine Love that is all around us.

I was learning to lean on God, divine Love, rather than my—or anyone else’s—preconceived view of how church should look or be. To vanquish self-righteousness. To be kind. To love as Jesus loved.
Love is ever active, so its rescuing, restoring activity is ongoing, unstoppable. It reaches, touches, comforts, every heart. It breaks through the deepest darkness.
I found I was starting to let go of feeling that my life was falling apart.
Within two weeks, all evidence of the incident had vanished.
I vehemently countered the pain with something specific: What does God know about me? Only good, because He made me.
I stopped on this single line: “Is not the Lord your God with you?” (I Chronicles 22:18). That simple question broke through the fear.
I am grateful
for an experience that showed me the healing efficacy of Christian Science.
