Complete healing of sickness
As I was reading a fairly recent Bible Lesson on the topic of “Christ Jesus” (found in the Christian Science Quarterly), I saw that it contained the account of Jesus talking with a woman from Samaria at a well, and I was reminded of a time a couple of years ago when I was quite sick for a few days. One of the symptoms was severe thirst. However much I drank, I could not seem to quench my thirst.
I vividly remember lifting my thought during that experience to the Christ, Truth, that came through in that story. Jesus spoke of the “living water” that he would give, and said that this water would be “a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” The account goes on: “The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw” (John 4:10, 14, 15).
I vehemently claimed my identity as a child of God, as I’d learned to do in Christian Science as a follower of Jesus, and my thirst vanished immediately. The complete healing of sickness followed shortly after.
