Angels at our side
I FIRST SAW HER REFLECTION in the mirror over the sink. She was leaning against the wall of the airport ladies room, sobbing. My eyes quickly went from the mirror to the woman, and in a moment my arms were around her. "You are not alone — God is with you, and loves you so very much." Those words seemed to speak themselves after I was love-propelled to her side. She stopped crying momentarily and looked into my eyes. I knew that she had heard what I'd said.
A friend was waiting to pick me up outside the airport, so I had to leave her. But as I left, I saw another woman who had witnessed the scene. She had a look on her face of such love and compassion that I felt she was there to carry on the comforting.
