ANGELS SAVED ME

Years ago, when I lived in a remote Alaskan village, I found myself in a challenging situation. My relationship with my husband (who has since passed on) was on slippery ground. Though we had an apparently loving relationship and three young children, one of my husband's female employees became openly attracted to him, and he seemed to love the attention. The woman acted very hatefully toward me and sought every opportunity to be alone with my husband. Since we all worked in the same building, it was, as some would say, an "in your face" issue.

When I confronted my husband, he told me he wasn't going to change anything about the situation, and that he liked the woman's company. Then I thought I would talk to the woman's husband about the situation. His response was even more brusque. He said he didn't care what they were doing, and that I shouldn't either. This came as quite a shock to me.

What I saw as inappropriate flirtation went on for quite a while, and although I never found out for sure, there was every indication that my husband was having an affair with this woman.
