JOIN THE ROYAL GUARD

For thousands of years, national leaders have received protection from guards of one sort or another. King David was repeatedly protected by guardians and loyalists. Presidents of countries often travel with bodyguards. And royalty are usually accompanied by guards as well.

"What's that got to do with me?" you may ask. "I'm not royalty." But you are! Every single one of us is created in the image of God, completely spiritual (see Gen. 1:27). That's true royalty.

Made in God's image, we have dominion over everything on the earth, including the thoughts that come to us. We can slay mental dragons of fear and discouragement by replacing them with truths from God, our real Mind. Then we are following Paul's advice "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus" (Phil. 2:5).
