Feeding ourselves spiritually

How would you feel if you had gone without your breakfast this morning? Not a big deal? How would you feel if you also had to skip lunch? Your enthusiasm meter might go down strongly at this point. Now, how would you feel if you also had to skip dinner? The refrain for most of us would likely be, "Are you kidding?"

No kidding about it—many of us do skip meals regularly. But this article is not about physical food but about the necessity of getting daily spiritual sustenance. Whether it is a young person's school crisis or an adult's business crisis, a serious family problem or just the pressures of a busy daily routine, we can actively do something each day to maintain our poise, to experience God's control of every situation.

For many people, the answer is to turn to the nourishing riches of the Bible. For Christian Scientists it also means turning to Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. This unique, God-inspired book brings to light the Bible's spiritual meaning and shows how its profound, healing messages are practical in our lives today.
