A place for each of us

If we're without work or home, our humble turning to God for help can provide just the direction we need.

Many people are looking for work or for a home or for both. Clearly, the shift from stability to uncertainty that unemployment can bring presents quite a challenge, as does the longstanding hardship that so many face. How can one cope with the uncertainties?

Consider a father or mother who is unemployed and joins a long line of applicants for work. What is that parent thinking as he or she waits in line? It's a trying situation. Yet isn't this exactly the time to become better acquainted with God and to place greater trust in Him?

You may ask what and where God is. The truth is that He is right where you are, for God is omnipresent Spirit, as we can learn from the Bible. He is the actual source for your being. God is our Father-Mother, who always cares for His children. He preserves His spiritual offspring, made in His image, and following Christ Jesus' example, we can begin to discern and prove this spiritual reality.
