I am truly grateful for Christian Science, to which I was introduced over three years ago. I recently had the opportunity of taking Christian Science class instruction, and this has truly deepened my spiritual understanding. Since my introduction to Science, there have been various healings in my family, proving the love that God has for His children.

Some time ago I had a splendid proof of God's ever-presence and care. I was cooking when a frying pan with boiling oil slipped, spilling the hot oil on my foot. The pain was acute, but it was immediately accompanied by the recognition of spiritual reality and the fact that God's spiritual man—my true being—cannot be hurt in any way. This gave me the strength to finish what I was doing. The Lord's Prayer (see Matthew), with its spiritual interpretation given in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, helped me greatly. The prayer concludes:
