When I was twenty years of age, our family was very unhappy, and my mother ill. Christian Science was then introduced to us, and we knew that it would meet our need, for we felt that we had come into a world of love. Very soon our outlook improved, and my mother's health was regained.

Subsequently I moved to another state and married. But my husband was not interested in Christian Science, and I drifted away from any study of it. During this time my mother sent me copies of the Christian Science periodicals, which I read spasmodically. I also occasionally read the Bible Lessons in the Christian Science Quarterly.

After a few years my marriage failed, and I again turned to God through Christian Science. I returned home with a very young boy and a nine-week-old baby. During the next months, supply was demonstrated in wonderful ways, and after a year I obtained a position with a family in the country, which provided a home for us and plenty of everything we needed. Throughout this period we had considerable freedom from so-called children's illnesses, and any problems that arose were met through the application of Christian Science. After several years of being employed in country homes (where we had many happy experiences), we returned to my mother's home.
