My grandfather, an uncle, and a cousin were all Protestant ministers, and I attended Sunday School regularly during my childhood and teen-age years. I am grateful for the good moral background this afforded me, but I never felt I had any understanding of God until Christian Science came into my life.

A close relative had a great need for healing, so when it came to my attention that Christian Science could heal the difficulty, I went to a practitioner and asked for an explanation of how this was possible. The relative did not accept this Science, but I immediately recognized it as the truth I had been seeking all my life.

My entire life was soon transformed in such a wonderful way that I knew I could never revert to my old way of thinking. A violent temper that had plagued me and embarrassed my family was healed almost immediately. A serious foot injury had left me with an infection that was affecting most of my leg from the knee down, and made standing or walking very difficult. But through Christian Science treatment I was healed in approximately three weeks.
