The Yielding That Heals

How beautiful to realize there are not, in reality, millions of personal, limited minds governing mankind in cross-purposes and disunity. How beautiful to realize instead through an understanding of Christian Science that God, divine Mind, is the creator, governor, maintainer, provider, and perpetuator of the universe and man. And to learn that the operation of the divine will is complete and eternally good.

In a chapter called "A Colloquy" in Mrs. Eddy's book Unity of Good, good affirms itself to be all consciousness and reality. It says to evil: "I am the infinite All. From me proceedeth all Mind, all consciousness, all individuality, all being. My Mind is divine good, and cannot drift into evil. To believe in minds many is to depart from the supreme sense of harmony." Un., p. 24;

Christ Jesus was the most faithful exemplifier of the foregoing truth. He demonstrated that God, good, is the source of man's intelligence and ability. He acknowledged and accepted consistently the Father's purpose for him and ultimately endured the cross with the humility typical of his selfless life. He prayed, "Not what I will, but what thou wilt." Mark 14:36;
