I would like to express my gratitude

I would like to express my gratitude for the wonderful teachings of Christian Science. Although I had attended a Christian Science Sunday School while quite young, it was not until many years later that I actually began to study and apply the truths found in Mrs. Eddy's writings. I am grateful for those dear teachers in our Sunday Schools who plant the seed of spiritual understanding and nurture it.

When I realized my need was not for materiality but for spiritualization of thought, I turned wholeheartedly to Christian Science.

On one occasion I became quite ill and lost consciousness. As I regained consciousness, I held firmly to the thought that God is my Life. I repeated these words over and over: "God is my Life." My husband, who is not a student of Science, was quite alarmed but did not insist I have a doctor. Instead, he asked me if he should call a Christian Science practitioner. This I will always be grateful for. The practitioner told him to read to me the chapter on Prayer from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. This he lovingly did, and when he reached the end of the chapter setting forth the Lord's Prayer with its spiritual interpretation, I fell asleep. The concluding words with the interpretation are (p. 17):
