Our Needs Met—Through Angels

Every time we turn to God for help in solving some human problem we are preparing to entertain angels. Mrs. Eddy defines "angels" as "God's thoughts passing to man; spiritual intuitions, pure and perfect; the inspiration of goodness, purity, and immortality, counteracting all evil, sensuality, and mortality." Science and Health, p. 581; And she says, "By giving earnest heed to these spiritual guides they tarry with us, and we entertain 'angels unawares.'" p. 299 ;

This rational, helpful view of God's spiritual intuitions removes them forever from the illusive realm of superstition and fancy and brings them, with all their blessedness, right into our very presence here and now. Angels are as close to each one of us as thought.

Christian Science reveals God as Mind, the one and only Mind there is. It shows us that this perfect, ever–present, all–knowing Mind is the Mind of man and is, therefore, the source of man's true knowledge or intelligence. Awareness of this spiritual fact, which underlies all reality, enables the human mind to know whatever needs to be known in order to bring out harmony in any untoward situation.
