How grateful I am for Christian Science and for the many healings I have had! I should like to relate my first healing, which brought me into the study of Christian Science. There had been ten difficult years of sickness after a major operation. During this period the surgeon discovered a tumor. The recurrence of pain and of familiar symptoms gradually became more severe until I could bear it no longer, and an appointment with a specialist was made by my doctor. He could not see me for three weeks, and my husband and I were most depressed by the doctor's obvious concern. Being a trained nurse, I was alarmed by his mention of secondary conditions.

Shortly after the appointment was made, I spoke to a friend about it. She mentioned Christian Science and lent me the textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mrs. Eddy, and some other authorized Christian Science literature. I became absorbed in reading the textbook, and two or three days later I went to see a Christian Science practitioner, who gave me treatment since I was having no medical attention at the time. I began to feel so much better that it did not seem that I needed to see the specialist. However, I kept the appointment and was overjoyed when he found nothing wrong, and I have remained well ever since with absolutely no recurrence of those symptoms during the past fifteen years.

In the intervening years many difficulties have been overcome through the application of Christian Science. Grief has been healed and the need for supply has been met.
